McKiney House Extension
This red sandstone bungalow remained unchanged since its construction in the 1930’s and was fully renovated in keeping with modern day living. With 3 bedrooms, 2 public rooms and only a single bathroom this imbalance, along with the small kitchen, required addressing. At ground floor, the new plan rearranges existing spaces and joins them seamlessly to a new multi function family room and re-orientates the centre of gravity of the house towards the garden. Upstairs, the master bedroom is transformed into a master suite with open plan study area and private bathroom.
